3D Plant Design Services — AVEVA E3D, PDMS & AutoCAD Plant 3D

OUR SERVICES

We provide end-to-end piping design services for EPC contractors and plant operators in oil & gas, petrochemical, and power generation. From initial layout studies through to certified isometric drawings, our engineers work in AVEVA E3D, AVEVA PDMS, and AutoCAD Plant 3D to deliver designs that are accurate, constructible, and on schedule.

FAQ — questions & answers

Q: What is the difference between AVEVA E3D and AVEVA PDMS?
A: AVEVA PDMS (Plant Design Management System) is the established platform that has been the industry standard for decades. AVEVA E3D (Everything 3D) is its modern successor — it offers the same core design capabilities but with an updated interface, better clash detection, cloud deployment options, and tighter integration with the broader AVEVA Unified Engineering suite. Many EPC contractors still run PDMS on legacy projects, while new projects increasingly start in E3D. Our team is proficient in both.

Q: Do you work with AutoCAD Plant 3D as well?
A: Yes. AutoCAD Plant 3D is widely used in smaller and mid-size plant projects, particularly in the European market. We use it for clients whose project servers or subcontractor ecosystems are built around the Autodesk toolset, and we can deliver the same quality of piping layout, isometrics, and MTO as with AVEVA tools.

Q: Can you take over an existing PDMS model and continue in E3D?
A: Yes, AVEVA provides migration paths between PDMS and E3D. We can assess your existing model, manage the migration, and continue the design in E3D — including cleaning up legacy data and updating specifications to current standards.

Q: What deliverables do you produce from the 3D model?
A: Typical deliverables include: 3D model files (AVEVA or AutoCAD format), piping isometric drawings (IFR/IFC), equipment layout drawings, clash reports, material take-offs (MTO/BOM), nozzle orientation drawings, and model review presentations in standard viewing formats.

Q: Do you comply with German engineering standards?
A: Yes. We apply German and European standards including DGRL (Druckgeräterichtlinie / PED), BetrSichV, EN 13480, and DIN norms where specified. Our deliverables are suitable for review by German TÜV and notified bodies.
